Part two in our series of five:
“What NOT to do when using Social Media for business”
In a vast, ever expanding world of social media and online marketing the problem a lot of people face when asked to handle a social media campaign, or their company’s online presence is that they simply don’t know where to start.
There are just so many social media platforms out there, so many website CMS, CRM, ORM and metrics systems to choose from, that making the incorrect decision on which ones suit your needs often means the fear of hours down the drain spent training and branding only to have to re-do it on a new one. And no matter what industry you are in, loosing time is effectively the same as losing money.
So, in keeping to our series of “What NOT to do when using Social Media for business” this weeks topic is don’t be afraid to ask for help. Online Marketing has become a specialist field on its own, standing apart from traditional marketing roles and sales functions. Not knowing how to get started is acceptable, not asking for help is not.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help
We have noticed a trend when talking about social media for business, people either understand it because they are well versed on the industry or they don’t understand it and as a result, shy away from it. We would like to change that perception for once and for all.
The internet is swamped with online marketing companies. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn are overcrowded with “Social Media Gurus”. The saying goes “Ask and you shall receive” and it has never been more pertinent than to the industry of online marketing.
AOM specifically, is made up of a team of online marketing specialists. Which means we are industry experts, you might not find us calling ourselves “Guru’s” but we certainly don’t laugh at the questions we get asked. We believe every business deserves their spot in the limelight, no matter how big or small the company is.
The description of our profession (in our view) should be this, “We are here to assist your company in becoming more successful and profitable online, we are here to aide you in creating a legacy, something worth talking about and worth remembering. To help you mold a meaningful tribute to what your company does. The kind of legacy that will live on long after your marketing campaign has ended!”
If you need assistance with your current social media campaign be it on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or any other platform, we can help. Should you need advice on your online marketing, be it customer relationship management, database management or mass mailers, SMS’s or internal communications, we can help.
We encourage you to “not be afraid” to contact us, either on our social media platforms or on our nifty new contact form… the green tag immediately to the right on your screen.
We are looking forward to the conversations!
